When you are done, choose the torch particle at the top again and click select. Select it and change the colors here as well. Switch to the child system by selecting it from the drop down at the top. Not all presets have one, but the torch preset has, as you can see here. You will notice that there are still small orange particles left, they come from a particle child. With the settings in this example, the particles will change from blue to green. In this case, we only care about color change, so select that one and change the color options to your liking. Look for any particle component that modifies the color, like Particle Initializer Color Random or Particle Operator Color Change for example. With the particle system selected, click the edit button on the right, this will bring up the particle editor.
